Historic trees & fictitious snakes: Palo Alto has it all
As cool as it is to have a tree who could spill the tea about the Spanish explorers, there is one event from my childhood that I think deserves some much needed recognition. In 1993, someone called in a sighting of a massive seven foot long black mamba snake to the Palo Alto Animal Services Dept and the city went apesh*t.

Olympic Sleeping

The Anxiety Parlor
If you're alive right now then I'm just going to assume that you've experienced anxiety at some point. I myself have the equivalent of a masters degree in anxiety, which continues to be the worst thing I've ever taught myself. However, I'm a big believer in using whatever material Universe gives you to make your art, so I decided to create the very first ice cream parlor where all of the flavors are irrational fears of mine.

Double Feature
My mom is a writer and she used fabric the same way she used words: to tell stories of how she was feeling and who she wanted to be that day, or hour (my mom is notorious for changing her clothes multiple times a day). I wanted to take her inspiration a step further by telling visual stories based on fabric in two different ways...

Outfits to Avoid Helping
I will be making my annual Peanut Butter Pie with a Chocolate Ganache glaze and turning up to Thanksgiving dinner in an outfit that says "I cannot season meat properly" to avoid doing any actual cooking. (Hint: lots of sequins). If you would like to remain ornamental this holiday season, I have a few outfit suggestions...
