September email: British sewing insults
Whenever I start a new creative pursuit, there's always a bit of lingo that I have to learn along with the actual skills and techniques. When I started sewing, I was struck by how much of the terminology sounded like insults that you'd hear at a pub in England on a Friday night. Imagine being a fly on a wall listening to people sharing a pint and using sewing terminology to insult one another.
